Published by the Catholic Church in Upper Austria and Styria, GRÜSS GOTT! is a magazine exploring faith, society, and everyday life. Structured into the sections "Heaven," "(Lord) God," and "Sacrament," it is delivered free of charge to every household across both Austrian provinces.
The 76-page magazine has been published since September 2019 and reaches around 700,000 households in Upper Austria twice a year. Since 2024, a dedicated Styrian edition has expanded its reach by another 500,000 households, making GRÜSS GOTT! one of Austria's highest-circulation magazines.
To complement each print edition, four podcast episodes are produced around the magazine's key themes and made available on all major streaming platforms. The format has recently been expanded to include a video podcast (vodcast).

Faith, up close
The latest issue of GRÜSS GOTT! explores faith through stories that reveal how it becomes tangible in people's lives. It looks at tattoos as lasting expressions of personal beliefs and hopes, and asks why couples continue to choose a church wedding in today's world.
Elsewhere, the magazine examines enthusiasm as a force that inspires and sustains people, while other features explore how religious symbols, biblical imagery, and questions of identity and belonging continue to shape everyday life. Themes such as loneliness, comfort, and the human need for community are given equal space.
The result is an issue that approaches faith not as an abstract concept, but through diverse, personal, and deeply relatable stories.
